Overview of SuperWoman Term

The Bajaj Life Superwoman Term Plan is a women-focused life insurance policy built on the Life Shield variant of eTouch II. The plan’s standout addition is the optional Child Care Rider, which provides a lump sum and monthly income to children until age 25 in case of the mother’s death or Accidental Total Permanent Disability (ATPD). Another great addition are its Health Management Services such as teleconsultations, OPD visits, pregnancy care wallet, and preventive check-ups are available from day one.

The Superwoman Term Plan is designed for women who want life cover, critical illness protection, and child-focused financial security in a single policy. The mandatory CI rider makes it suitable for those who value comprehensive health-plus-life coverage, while the Child Care Rider offers strong financial continuity for dependents. The Child Care Rider is most valuable for mothers looking for guaranteed monthly income for children, though in death-only scenarios a higher base sum assured may be more cost-effective.

However, unlike eTouch II, it does not provide Accidental Death Benefit or Return of Premium options, and coverage for housewives is capped at ₹50 lakh versus ₹1 crore in eTouch II. The CI rider’s compulsory nature is a plus for buyers seeking combined protection but limits flexibility for those who prefer pure term cover.

Overall, this plan works best for women with unearned income who can provide the required documentation, eligible NRI housewives, and mothers prioritising the Child Care Rider.

Pros

It is feature rich plan.

Bajaj Life has a solid track record with a good CSR, minimal complaints, and high solvency ratio.

Offers unique Child rider that makes policyholder’s children the beneficiaries in case of accidental disability or demise.

Provides an exit option with full premium refund and allows future premium increases under life stage benefit.

Cons

Premiums are relatively high compared to other plans.

Child Care Rider

Standout

In case of demise or accidental total permanent disability of the mother, a mix of lump sum and monthly income benefit would be paid to the children added as beneficiaries under this rider.

Zero Cost Option

Some insurers will return all your premiums if you forego your policy before maturity, during a period specified by the insurer. Meaning you get all your premiums back, while also being protected under the term plan during this time. And SuperWoman Term extends this option.

Waiver of Premium

Some policies waive all future premium payments if you are ever disabled (due to accident) or diagnosed with a critical illness. SuperWoman Term doesn't extend the waiver-of-premium option if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, but you have the option to waive off all premiums if you are permanently disabled (due to accident).

Critical Illness

If you're ever diagnosed with a critical illness, you would want your insurance policy to pay a fixed sum that can help you deal with any monetary obligations and financially support your needs during treatment. SuperWoman Term extends critical illness benefit without too many restrictions and pays up to ₹1.5 Cr so long as you are diagnosed with one of the 60 illnesses listed in the policy brochure.

Special Exit Value

Some insurance companies will return all your premiums if you surrender your policy before maturity, but this can only be possible if you have a policy tenure above a certain number of years and maintain consistent renewals for a minimum period specified by the insurer. This means you get all your premiums back, while being protected under the term plan during this time. SuperWoman Term extends this option.

Add-ons of SuperWoman Term

You have the option to skip paying premiums for the years chosen during the policy term

Child Care Rider
