The eTouch II plan from Bajaj Life Insurance is a well-thought-out term policy that caters to both conservative and progressive insurance buyers. You get three variants: Life Shield, Life Shield Plus (offering an additional payout on accidental death), and Life Shield ROP (Return of Premium). Even the base Life Shield variant covers death due to accident, so the Plus variant is best for those seeking extra accident protection rather than basic coverage.

Customisation is a strength: you can choose death benefits as a lump sum, staggered monthly income (for up to 40 years), or a blend, making it suitable for families reliant on steady income. Inbuilt features include Waiver of Premium on ATPD, Zero Cost Option (exit after age 60 under specific conditions), Life Stage Cover Increase, and coverage extensions for home or education loans.

While the ROP and Plus variants have substantially higher premiums, the additional benefits may justify the cost for some buyers. However, Ditto generally recommends the Life Shield variant for most customers due to its balance of affordability and coverage.

This plan is particularly competitive for younger buyers, women, and non-smokers, thanks to Bajaj Life’s favourable pricing for these segments.

Family Protect Rider

Standout

This pays Parents of the Life assured an additional amount in case of demise or Accidental Total Permanent Disability of the policyholder.

Zero Cost Option

Some insurers will return all your premiums if you forego your policy before maturity, during a period specified by the insurer. Meaning you get all your premiums back, while also being protected under the term plan during this time. And eTouch II extends this option.

Waiver of Premium

Some policies waive all future premium payments if you are ever disabled (due to accident) or diagnosed with a critical illness. eTouch II doesn't extend the waiver-of-premium option if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, but you have the option to waive off all premiums if you are permanently disabled (due to accident).

Critical Illness

If you're ever diagnosed with a critical illness, you would want your insurance policy to pay a fixed sum that can help you deal with any monetary obligations and financially support your needs during treatment. eTouch II extends critical illness benefit without too many restrictions and pays up to 1.5 Crores so long as you are diagnosed with one of the 60 illnesses listed in the policy brochure.

Special Exit Value

Some insurance companies will return all your premiums if you surrender your policy before maturity, but this can only be possible if you have a policy tenure above a certain number of years and maintain consistent renewals for a minimum period specified by the insurer. This means you get all your premiums back, while being protected under the term plan during this time. eTouch II extends this option.

Add-ons of eTouch II
