Key Features and Riders of Go Digit Glow Lite
Death Benefit
If the life assured dies after the risk commencement date and before the policy end date, the applicable death benefit is paid as a lump sum, subject to policy terms.
Wellness Benefit
The plan offers 17 wellness and preventive health services designed to encourage the life assured to maintain a healthier lifestyle, subject to applicable program terms.
Premium Payment Frequency
Except under single pay, premiums can be paid annually, half-yearly, quarterly, or monthly, based on the selected payment frequency.
Sum Assured
The plan offers a sum assured ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹2 lakh, subject to insurer underwriting and applicable policy conditions.
Riders Available
- Additional Accidental Death Benefit: If selected, this benefit pays an additional 100% of the sum assured on death as a lump sum if death results solely from an accident during the policy term. The death must occur within 180 days of the accident, subject to policy terms.
- Additional Accidental Total and Permanent Disability Benefit: If selected, this benefit pays 100% of the sum assured on death as a lump sum for qualifying accidental total and permanent disability. The accident must occur during the policy term, while cover is active, and the disability must meet applicable policy conditions.
- Accelerated Terminal Illness Benefit: If selected, this benefit pays the applicable death benefit as a lump sum upon diagnosis of a covered terminal illness during the policy term. The benefit is an advance payment of the death benefit. It is payable once during the insured person's lifetime, after which the policy terminates.
Note: Riders provide additional financial protection against specific risks. At Ditto, we recommend critical illness and waiver of premium riders because a serious illness or disability can affect both your health and ability to earn, subject to policy terms and conditions.

Go Digit Glow Lite Sample Premium Comparison by Age and Cover
Micro insurance plans generally cost under ₹1,000 annually and offer limited life cover. For example, PMJJBY provides ₹2 lakh of life cover for ₹436 per year. However, premiums and eligibility can vary, so contact the insurer for accurate, current details.
Note: Premiums for this plan are currently not available through online or offline channels. Actual premiums may vary based on your age, health, sum assured, policy term, and underwriting.
Go Digit Life: Performance Metrics (FY 2025-26)
- Annual Business Volumes: ₹1,472.50 crore
- Complaints Volume per 10,000 claims: 20.00
- Solvency Ratio: 1.84x
Note: The above data is derived from IRDAI annual reports and Go Digit public disclosures.
At Ditto, we assess insurers using at least three years of data to evaluate consistency across key metrics. Go Digit Life is a relatively new insurer, so sufficient public data on metrics such as claim settlement ratios is not yet available for a meaningful long-term assessment.
Additionally, the insurer’s solvency ratio has declined from above 3.85x in FY 2024-25 to 1.84x in FY 2025-26. While still above the regulatory minimum, the sharp decline is worth monitoring, particularly given the insurer’s relatively short operating history.
However, for FY 2025-26, its business scale is significantly smaller, and its complaint volume is significantly higher than that of established insurers.
- Axis Max Life reported a business volume of ₹14,503.29 crore, while HDFC Life reported ₹36,095.94 crore.
- Insurers like Bajaj Life reported just 2.00 complaints per 10,000 claims. You can explore Ditto Data Lab for more insurer performance metrics.

Conclusion
Go Digit Glow Lite can be a low-cost starting point for buyers with no life insurance who need basic financial protection. Its simple structure and affordable cover may suit individuals with limited budgets, but the ₹2 lakh maximum sum assured limits its usefulness for larger financial responsibilities.
Micro insurance can help manage risks without straining your budget. However, it should not replace adequate term insurance when your income, liabilities, and family responsibilities require higher coverage.
If you can afford adequate life cover, consider the best term insurance plans that better align with your income, liabilities, and family’s financial needs.
