Overview
A plan called "Double Wallet" sounds like your cover doubles the moment you need it. So what do you actually get?
With the Go Digit Double Wallet Plan, the second wallet is a backup equal to your base sum insured, available for a later eligible claim during the policy year.
That makes the name easy to understand, but the plan's real value depends on how this backup works alongside the rest of the cover. So it’s worth looking beyond the headline feature before deciding whether it fits your needs.
In this Go Digit Double Wallet Plan review, we break down how the second wallet works, the key features and add-ons, eligibility, Digit’s claim metrics, and the major pros and cons.
What Is the Go Digit Double Wallet Plan?
The Go Digit Double Wallet plan is a health insurance policy from Go Digit Health Insurance that comes with a backup cover equal to your base sum insured. Essentially, this works like a restoration or refill benefit, giving you additional coverage after you make an eligible hospitalization claim during the policy year.

How the Second Wallet Works When Your Base Cover Runs Out
The second wallet gives you a backup equal to your base sum insured. Once you make an eligible hospitalization claim, the backup becomes available for a later claim during the policy year. It can be used for a related or unrelated illness of the same insured person.
Here is how it works with a ₹10 lakh base cover:
- Claim 1 is ₹4 lakh. You still have ₹6 lakh of base cover left, and the ₹10 lakh second wallet becomes available. So you effectively have ₹16 lakh available for later eligible claims.
- Claim 2 is ₹9 lakh for a complication of the same illness. The claim can use the remaining base cover and then the second wallet, because the backup works for related and unrelated illnesses.
- If the first claim itself is ₹12 lakh, Digit will not use the second wallet to cover the ₹2 lakh excess on that same hospitalization. A single claim is still capped at the base sum insured.
Important: Under Double Wallet, this backup is available only once in the policy period, unlike the Infinity Wallet plan, which offers restoration an unlimited number of times during the policy year.

Conclusion
The Go Digit Double Wallet Plan keeps things relatively simple: one backup equal to your base sum insured, which you can use for another eligible hospitalization involving a related or unrelated illness. That said, Digit also offers its Infinity Wallet plan, which provides unlimited restoration during the policy year. So, if you specifically want to go with Digit and prefer repeated refills instead of a one-time backup, the Infinity Wallet Plan may be worth considering alongside Double Wallet.
At the same time, the plan has clear limits. Consumables need an add-on, listed modern treatments are capped unless you opt for Advance Care, and pre- and post-hospitalization cover is relatively short at 30 and 60 days. So Double Wallet makes more sense for someone who wants a simpler plan with one refill rather than a feature-heavy policy with repeated restoration and broader built-in benefits.
